Default Cell phone signal issues around the home

We just moved and our new place seems to be a total dead spot for coverage. We get dropped calls and consistently miss calls with our one bar of signal strength. And that is regardless of what level or area of the house we are in. When we aren't home, cell coverage is great - so it isn't a phone issue.

Can anybody recommend a cell phone signal booster? My research shows that Uniden and Wilson are the major brands but I am not tech savvy.

If it matters, we are on the Fido network and neither of my wife and i's phones work nor will our guests phones.

Wilson cell repeaters are usually pretty expensive. I just bought one of these off of Ebay, and it gives me 5 bars all over the house with 1 bar outside.

If you're on Fido do you use LTE? If you're still on the HSPA network, the 850mhz repeater will work.

Bumping my old thread, does any Wind Mobile users have any real world experience with cellular signal boosters? (AWS 1700/2100 mhz?)

I've seen some online reviews for Wilson and Dr. Tech but I'll believe the Calgary based CP braintrust more.

Not a Wind user, but if you buy the proper cell phone repeater from a reputable manufacturer there is absolutely no reason why it won't work.

I usually find it pretty funny when people complain about poor coverage in their house. Repeaters are pretty cheap these days and give you 5 bars in your home for the most part.
