Default H Sedin out for Olympics, M Johansson in

TEAM 1040 reporting H Sedin out for Olympics, Backlund in.

@SVTSport shows H Sedin is out. Nothing official on Backlund but that's what was just said on the radio.

Check out @blakeprice1040 or @mattsekeres if you guys don't believe me.

The way they're playing this year, it should have been like this to begin with!

Well deserved if this comes to fruition, I hope he comes back from this experience even better than he is now.

That would make my day!

Amazing how this guy went from "maybe we should cut bait" from many on CP, to likely being on team Sweden at the Olympics. Awesome!

Backlund said he wasn't on the Swedes reserve list.

I imagine the players would need to be so they can undergo out of tournament drug testing. just throwing that out there.

Hope this is true

I like Backlund, but that's a big downgrade for Sweden.

Who was Backlund's competition? Hornqvist and Nyquist? Great news for Backlund!

This would be awesome if true, like others have said his turnaround the past month or so has been amazing to see. Amazing what confidence can do.

Good for Backlund. He really stepped up his game in the last couple months since he was a healthy scratch, because of that he definitely earned a spot on the team. He should feel extremely proud for making a true contender like the Swedes are.

Nyquist made the team the other day when Franzen was ruled out.
