Everyone played well for Slovenia in that game, that's what really stood out for me.

They didn't just hang on by the skin of their teeth for that win, or win because every single on-ice event went their way. They earned that one. Kopitar, as great as he was, wasn't the only one driving the bus.

They comprehensibly outdid Slovakia despite only having 1 regular NHLer compared to the Slovaks having 13 NHLers.

Great game by Slovenia, you could tell they wanted it more than the Slovaks. Kopitar what a beast. Just powered through a check and great patience on his goal. They deserved, and got the win.

It's funny how with it being Saturday, the CBC is doing a doubleheader on its channel. The other days have had CBC do just 1 game or none. The Russia-USA game has the HNIC feel with Healy being a clown as usual and hearing many NHL players names. I notice that the microphones Freidman and Hrudy are using in this game don't have the HNIC crest on them.
