Default Anyone driven to or from kelowna in the last week? HWY1 closed at Revelstoke

Supposed to drive to Kelowna on Friday, but the weather has been awful through SE BC the last few days. Looks like Hwy1 closed at moment around Revelstoke.

Never gone the Hwy 3 route before and Im not sure that it looks much better. Might not have a choice though if we still decide to go.

Any feedback on the current conditions would be appreciated- Never been a fan of DriveBC.ca

Doing the same trip Thursday after work. Hopefully conditions are decent. Might have to bring along a few extra containers of windshield washer fluid.'

If the road is closed after Revelstoke, you can take HWY 23 south. It's not a bad trip, and if its during the day its pretty scenic, and not a lot of traffic to contend with. A few ferry (free) trips across Arrow Lake.

Highway 3 isn't treacherous at all. I don't get why people think this. There's nothing on that highway that's as gnar as Rogers Pass when the conditions are bad.

What don't you like about it? DriveBC is the best highway condition site in Western Canada in my opinion. If you don't like looking at the map view there are a few ways easily accessed on the site to get lists or just webcam views.

Highway 3 looks pretty good right now. The fact that you can see asphalt at Paulson summit is a great sign.

Not a fan of the map. I prefer the color coded set up on AMA. The roads are clearly visible on the AMA map and you can click on any section of highway for conditions. Drive BC just looks like a mess of icons.

I should point out though that I really haven't really tested all of the features on DriveBC and there may be some things I am missing out on.
