Flyers and Islanders scoreless after first. Grabner probably had the best opportunity of the period with a shorthanded breakaway with about 15 seconds left. Emery made a nice glove save.

Emery just stoned the Islanders on a 2-on-0 breakaway.

Goals were scored in the second period and after two periods, it is 3-1 Flyers. The Flyers opened the scoring with a shorthanded goal by Read, Tavares tied it later on the power play. Simmonds gave the Flyers the lead and then Read scored his second of the game. This is the back end of the home-away series between these teams, the final meeting of the season and the Flyers have won every game so far.

Islanders claw one back with about 11 minutes 30 sec left of the third. 3-2 Flyers. Might get an intense last 10 minutes here.

Edit: There's a Nilsson, Nelson, and Nielsen on the Islanders today

plus MacDonald and McDonald. Last year, they also had Streit and Strait

only one Austrian on the scoreboard so far. Unacceptable!

Good work Islanders. They've really turned it around and don't look to be in the top 5 draft pick conversation going forward.

Well thanks for jinxing that. These pro tanker organizations are never out of it. Also, they're in the 5 spot right now.

they are 9-3-0 in their last 12. Doubt they'll be in the conversation for a top pick.

They are on a hot streak right now and still have a top 5 pick. I could easily see them still being in the conversation.
