Still think we got screwed on that waved off goal.
Good to see the team fighting right to the last few seconds.
Backlund is looking like a solid future piece of this team.

Oilers and Sabres play like turds, Flames won't pick higher than third.

Brutal blown call by the linesman. It is amazing how these guys can keep making obvious mistakes with little to no repercussions.
That said, the Flames were chasing the game all night long. They weren't the better team.

Three straight games with a goal for Backlund.
First goal in 18 games for Stempniak? Good lord Stempy, get it together for UFA sakes.

Glad Feaster didn't sell Backlund for pennies on the dollar.

If I have to watch them lose, I'd rather watch them play like that than they were right after Christmas.
Backlund is playing so well right now. He deserves to have the A permanently.

Really liked Backlund and Hudler again out there. I want Backlund to keep the "A", he deserves it. He's been fantastic lately.
Does Stajan know it's a contract year for him? Surely he's not doing himself any favours. Really stupid penalties tonight.
As for the Gio goal, that was a horrible call by the refs, but it's not the first time this season.

Backlund is our best player by a considerable margin for the last month or so.
Overall pretty weak effort by the Flames.

I feel bad for PIMking, was hoping for a Flames win since he doesn't have the luxury of seeing them very often.
Maybe next time.
Officiating was brutal (again, still).
Backlund played great, Stempniak needs to break out big time and boost his trade value.
Stajan was just... there. He didn't really do much of anything.
Ramo - meh, not great, but no goalie in the league could have stopped two of the four goals against.
At least the shutouts are over with, and the team can get back to consistent scoring.

I don't know when Backlund decided he was a power forward, but I like it! Some really strong moves to the net the last few games, breaking through defenders/checks and cutting to the net. I also enjoyed the little wrasslin match with Jones at the end.

He started to show glimpses of it after playing in Sweden during the lockout.
