I was paying $25/month since October apparently. If you sign up, you must tell them you do not want to auto renew our you'll be charged. I've now paid $75 and just angrily canceled, only to find out that $25 would have given me the rest of the year...
Edit: sorry. Still so angry I thought we were talking about game centre

I use it. It's awesome. Since I live in PST time zone I don't get off work till the game is over most of the time so the replys are really useful. It's charged for a full year.

I just phoned customer service, and they don't do monthly rates. It's going for $99.99 now, but I may wait until March 1, as most of February will be wiped out due to the Olympics. He said the price would probably drop again.

Keep in mind there practically no playoffs on NHLCI as the vast majority of games are available on national TV.

That's all good with me. I wanted to be able to watch games during the home stretch, as I am usually stuck in Northern Alberta work camps. The only team I cannot watch as far is I am aware of, is the Edmonton Oilers. Unsure about the Flames, but I would love to see them, as I only seem to get Oilers and Canucks games lately.

From the NHL website:
When you subscribe to NHL GameCenter LIVE™, you have the option of paying for your subscription in an easy, single payment or to pay the full price in monthly installments.
Please note that when you sign up for NHL GameCenter LIVE™, you are signing up for an annual subscription and not a monthly service, even if you choose to pay in multiple installment payments.
Day Pass subscriptions may also be available for purchase at certain periods for a single low price. The subscription is valid for the current day's games and will expire at 7 AM ET the day after purchase.

I have it. I don't use it as much as I thought. I don't think I'll buy it again basically because I only like to sit down and watch a flames game. So I have not much use for it. Sometimes I don't get blacked out on flames games and usually I do. The feed is behind a bit which isn't that big of a deal. My favourite part is all the highlights and you can watch specific goals the app for your phone is really nice.

Regarding the Gamecenter Live, if you change your address with NHL.com to an Alberta address they do not do auto-renew. (I believe it is AB and QC that are exempt).

I want to love Gamecenter but some things bug me:
1) They get blacked out from the first game on Saturdays on CBC. I didn't have that experience with Center Ice.
2) They go to an "Intermission" screen in between periods whereas I liked seeing the intermission.
3) The iPhone / iPad app is gawdawful for spoilers. It's as if people with no concept of sports made the apps.
4) The Apple TV app is fine but if you miss the entirety of the game, it takes them a few hours to put it up. You can go to the browser and watch the game on your computer (or stream if you're able to from your computer) but that's not the same.
I'd go for Center Ice + DVR but my local cable company still delivers SD versions of the games. I think both services are simply trying to drive me nuts

GCL plus an American proxy is awesome. Money well spent, IMO.

If anyone lives overseas, this is a godsend - no blackouts, no ads (except for in stream), no viewing limitations. Would most definitely recommend it for all non-North American CPers.

As an Aussie who recently moved to NA, I still use it.
Being able to watch the kids in Abby is great, plus it's higher quality than Gamecentre and also has on-demand capabilities.
You can also pay by the month, day, season etc etc.
Other big advantage is no bloody delays!!! I like being able to talk about the game on here or social media without being a minute++ behind.
Highly recommend it guys.
