Default January 6, just three games.

At the end of two periods of play.

It is 4-3 Islanders over the Stars on Long Island.
The Stars had a 2-0 lead after the first period and then
the Islanders came to life.

The BJs have 3-1 lead over the Rangers at MSG.
Lundqvist is in net for the Rangers. Can the BJs
hold on and not blow a third period lead?

In the second period on

It is 1-1, the goals came in the first period.
The Panthers have the Habs number so far
this season winning both games.

Gionta scores and gives the Habs a 2-1 lead after two periods.

The Islanders scored and now lead 5-3. Tavares has three points.

The BJs let up again, the Rangers have tied it at 3-3. Rick Nash tied the game and has two goals against his former team.

I really wasn't expecting a basement eastern team like the Isles to blowout the Stars.

Tavares with the hattrick, 7-3 now.

The BJs and Rangers are in overtime.

Holy carp JT. 5 points?? Not that there was any doubt of his spot but doing that on the eve of a team Canada announcement is quite the statement ...

The Habs hang on for the 2-1 regulation win.

The BJs win 4-3 in the shootout and the Islanders win 7-3.

Nice to see the BJs win in the SO, 4-3 over the Rangers. Dubinsky and Nash score goals against their former teams. I didn't realize this but the BJs are just 4 points back of a playoff spot. The Habs get the 2-1 reg time victory over the Panthers and stay in the mix with the Bolts in trying to catch the Bruins for the division lead. Thomas played well in net and the Habs had 2 disallowed goals which were good calls by the refs. The John Tavares show, that was awesome and good for him. Getting 5 points, a hattrick, and having the hats thrown on the ice for the Islanders ice girls to gather them, yeah!
