Default December 6, five games.

A decent of amount of games for a Friday evening.

Games that are in the second period

Currently on RDS

The Devils lead 2-1 over the Red Wings in the Prudential Centre.

The Sharks lead 2-0 over the Hurricanes from Raleigh, North Carolina.
The BJs are up 2-0 against the Wild from Nationwide Arena in Columbus, Ohio.




On NHL Network USA
Ducks at Blackhawks
the game has just started and goals are coming fast, 1-1 already.

Red Wings get a dubious PP on a phantom Schneider trapezoid infraction. Of course, they score on the PP for the insurance 3-1 goal.

Boston and Pittsburgh is ugly so far. Thornton just knocked out Orpik with a cheapshot.

Just rewound the PVR and looks like Thornton slew footed Orpik and then punched him out while he was lying on the ice. Yikes.

I watched the first 10 minutes of the game and Orpik knocked Eriksson out of the game with a clean open ice hit. Thornton was trying to fight Orpik, but Orpik wasn't having any of it.

I didn't see what happened, but I'm guessing this will be a lengthy suspension.
