Hey folks, I'm going to do something that's really out of character for me, but I've run out of options.
I'm currently building my basement and due to my limited experience and lack of funds, was relying on some family members to help make it happen.
My father-in-law came down from Kelowna and we got everything framed up and now I need to get it wired and a small amount of plumbing taken care of in the bathroom (already roughed in).
I've purchased all of the materials, but don't have the $$$ to pay a company to come in. I have both a plumber and an electrician in the family, but neither seem keen on coming out to give me a hand, despite committing prior to us starting the project.
Is there anyone here on CP with the skills, knowledge and a willingness to help us out? Naturally, all the pizza and beer (or whatever floats your boat) awaits you, as well as some financial compensation for a job well done.
Once these elements are taken care of, my wife and I are going to try tackling the drywall and handle all of the finishing work ourselves.
