Should be interesting to see Alfredsson face the Senators in Ottawa for first time.

It was a strange game after the Canucks took a 2-0 lead in the first period. The Hurricanes scored 39 seconds into the second period, then tied it ten seconds later. It was only 27 seconds after that, the Canucks took the lead. Kesler scored it, his second in the game and that was the winning goal, 3-2 final.

It will be a circus in Ottawa with the Alfredsson back in town and it should be fun to watch.

Great play by Garbagekov to hand the puck to Dallas shorthanded, goal.

1 zip for Dallas. Score flatters the Coilers as Bryz has been pretty good (and Dallas has missed the open net a few times). I hope MacTipsy signs him to a 7 year $8M a year contract soon.

Bryz goes down hard, motionless on the ice for a few minutes. Hope he's alright

Hemsky makes it 1-1 with under 5 seconds left in the second

Fluke goal by Edmonton ties it up with 4 seconds left after a clear hit from from behind by the Jones of the Coilers, how made the pass to Hemsky that scored the goal.

Weak sauce refs.

Missed the start of the third, but it is 2-1 Stars now. I think Garbutt got his second, but know nothing about it. Dubnyk still in net for the Coilers.

And now tied by Ferrence after several great chances for Dallas to take a 2 goal lead.

5 minutes left in the third.

Going to OT. Undeserved point for the Coilers, as Dallas was the better team.

Heading to the shootout now. Edmonton had most of the pressure in the OT. Maybe that's the secret to Edmonton not being the worst team in the league - they need to petition the NHL to play the entire game 4-4.

And Edmonton steals the second point in the shootout. Dallas was the far better team through 3 periods, but missed so many open nets and allowed a much worse team to hang around.
