Philly is on the upswing and detroit has been plagued with injuries. I'm glad the Flyers are doing better.

Montreal just blew it really badly

But then NJ blew it even worse

3-3 tied with 30 seconds left. 2 goals in the last minute

Nice giveaway by Subban on that go ahead goal, followed by a nice slew foot by him on the next shift where they got the game tying goal.

2 "missed" calls by the ref on Subban in the last minute of regulation and overtime, and they win in a shoot-out.

Pacioretti should have been awarded a PS in OT. Not even a penalty call.

Ha yeah, good thing he plays for an original 6 and not in another hockey city or he'd spend a lot of time in the box with all of his little shenanigans behind the plays.

Good player, selfish actions though.

Is that what happened to his stick? I just seen it break, didn't see a replay.

I think his stick just broke when he went to shoot it. Maybe it broke when he intercepted the pass? Didn't actually see a replay to see if anyone did whack him though.

It is rivalry night on across the USA

at

A great game, the Red Wings lead the Flyers 3-2 early in the third period. The game is on Centre Ice in Canada due to the Tim Horton's Roar of the Rings curling tournament on TSN2.

Great game on TSN and RDS with part two of the home-away series between the Habs and Devils, this time from Newark, New Jersey. Habs won 4-3 in the shootout and it was a wild third period! Game is repeated on RDS later this evening.

Both games are shown on NHL Network tomorrow.

The Flyers exploded for three goals in under five minutes, two of them on the power play and lead 5-3 now.

The Habs beat the Devils in the SO 4-3. PK Subban rode the emotional roller coaster with his give away blunder which led to the Devils go ahead goal with 66 seconds left in reg time. Just 29 seconds later, Subban was on the ice when Desharnais tipped in the GTG. Budaj gets the win and Schneider gets the SOL. The 2 wins over the Devils have put the Habs into 3rd place in the eastern conference, 1 point back of the division leading Bruins and 2 back of the conference leading Penguins. The Flyers defeat the Red Wings 6-3 at the Joe. Sean Couturier had a big game, 4 points (2G, 2A). The Flyers scored 3 PPs in the game. Steve Mason had a strong game in net for the Flyers as he faced 35 shots. The loss puts Detroit 2 points back of the Habs and the Flyers into a tie for 8th place with the Rangers.

Didn't see this posted anywhere, thought it was worth sharing. Prust absolutely crushes Janssen with an uppercut....was on the front page of CNN.com today in the US. Attaboy Prust! Couldn't do it to a nicer guy either.

You sang a different tune last year about the reffing and the "bias" against Montreal, didn't you?
