I almost thought this was a bump, but its a different school this time.

At least Virginia Tech can sit this one out.

Really a non-story at this point. There was a tip of a roommate going to campus to shoot. Is there actually a roommate/gunman who knows?
College campuses in CT are not Gun Free Zones by law, but Yale is one by school rules. Yes the roommate call in tip reports differently, but seeing someone on campus with a gun should not be immediate cause for concern. So far the reports I'm reading have the witnesses of spotting gunmen questioning if they actually just saw police officers.

I wouldn't call it a non-story, hopefully it just doesn't end up on the front page

One of the biggest and most prestigious schools in the world is in lockdown because of the all-too-often threat of a gunman.

Do you mean like in the wacky world of the NRA utopian society where all teachers carry guns and everyone else in junior high and up, or do you mean like Sandy Hook and Columbine, nothing to worry about.

So it's normal to see a student walking around campus with a rifle?

The Yale Daily News sent out several statements yesterday, during the lockdown, saying gunman sighting confirmed.

Obviously a mistake, but false reports are one thing all of these events have in common.

Yale students are on Thanksgiving break this week. Not much activity on campus.
