Default Flames 2 @ Blues 3

The good: push back in the 3rd.
The bad: outplayed badly for the first 40 minutes.
The ugly: Jackman's goal has cemented his place in the line up for the time being.

The score kind of flattered the Flames but in the end their awful powerplay was their undoing. Hartley will be pleased as Sven got to see tonight how it's done by Jackman and I'm sure Feasters's on the phone with his agent as we speak. Seriously though probably not fair for Jackman to receive the flack as it's not his fault he's replacing Sven and for him it's probably good times.

Can't believe David Jones makes $4 million per season. Not liking this acquisition at all. Makes Glencross when he is slumping still look like good value.

Nice to see them keep fighting and making this one close. Awful start by them. They just didn't seem to be ready for the Blues. Started pushing back in the 2nd, and got a few good calls by the refs to get some PPs (which have looked terrible).

Just nice to see them fight for it.

Looked ugly for a while, but once again, the kept fighting

PP was the difference tonight

Berra was good again - kept them in it

I'll take Jones at 4 and what he provides over Tanguay at 3.5 with what he was providing.

Jones may be ineffective right now, but he moves his legs and plays hard on the puck.

Berra was the best flame tonight. Easily could've been a blowout after 1.

Was expecting much worse. Seems like we are playing a top team every game, damn Western Conference.

Win on the 16th and all will be okay.

Good push in the third, but awful in the first and second.

Monahan has looked best this season with Sven on his wing.

Decent try to come back, but too little too late.

Berra played pretty well again so that's good. I hope Sven is back in the lineup tomorrow.

I don't know. He looks to me like the player the Avs were desperately trying to get rid of.

Like the push back at the end. Colbourne getting a lot of opportunities to shine here, he needs to start lighting the lamp. Cammy has been a beast, just putting the team on his back. Glad we kept him to provide a good example to the kids, but I'd still be okay trading him at the deadline for picks/prospects. As we have seen recently this rebuild is a long term project.

Seems like forever ago we were off to a pretty nice start.

we are 12th in the league in Goals for and 29th in goals against. Pretty easy to see we need to get better at preventing goals.

I know, that's the kind of record I'd expect with some rebuilding team, but not the Flames. Just so unexpected and disappointing.

After that early point streak we're now 8 points out (10 if the Canucks win). I think we're done here. Phoenix somehow is 11-4-2. West is just too tough.

And I really hope Hartley knows what he's doing.

GlenX may not be a "magical unicorn", but were going to miss his goal/3 game avg. tonight he may have made the difference on the pp and ąt least got us a loser point in the skills comp.
