The Rangers defeated the Sabres 2-0. Bressard on the power play and Kreider scored the goals. Ryan Miller was excellent in goal for the Sabres as he kept the score respectable. The Rangers had shots on him compared to 29 shots the Sabres had on Lundqvist who gets the shutout.http://www.cbc.ca/sports-content/hockey/nhl/game/1346282/recap/

In the other early game, the Bruins have just defeated the Ducks 3-2 in the shootout. Chara tied the game on the power play with under three minutes left in the third period. http://www.nhl.com/gamecenter/en/recap?id=2013020188&navid=nhl:topheads
