Two goals for Moulson. I guess he can score without Tavares. Actually if he does have an impressive season in Buffalo he may increase is value in free agency as maybe some think that he's benefitted from playing with a great centre. Trade may work out for him after all.

And Buffalo can flip him again for another first.

That Blackhawks/wild game will have some major playoff implications......

How in the hell did the Rangers have to play their first nine on the road? Tough schedule.

Ya, I was surprised to see that he had two goals tonight.

Will be interesting to see how it all pans out.

What is Vanek's attitude like anyway? Is he a good team guy.

Moulson scored 2 already in his debut with Buffalo.
The fifth game is Capitals at Canucks.

Scoreless early in the first period.

haven't heard anything negative. He's all about winning though ... Buffalo was apparently ready to offer him huge money, making him the highest paid NHLer next year. He chose not to sign because he wants to win a cup instead of doing a rebuild ... think about that what you want but at least he has been completely open and honest about that.

Only one national game on the OOT, the Habs at Rangers (RDS and NBCSN). It was another fun Original Six game to watch. The Canadiens won 2-0 with Peter Budaj in goal for the Habs, Lundqvist was in goal for the Rangers as he played for the first time in a week since recovering from an injury. Both teams were tied with 27 shots each.
http://www.cbc.ca/sports-content/hoc...1346200/recap/

Lindy Ruff made his return to Buffalo and in winning style as the Stars defeated the Sabres 4-3 in regulation time. Matt Moulson scores a pair of goals as Estrada mentioned earlier in a losing cause.
http://www.cbc.ca/sports-content/hoc...1346192/recap/

The Penguins cruise to a 3-1 victory over the Hurricanes. I wonder if the Hurricanes will look for another goalie as Peters has lost every game since he took over for the injured Cam Ward.

The Blackhawks get their revenge in the second game of the home and away series with the Wild as Chicago wins 5-1, as the road teams win both games.

It is 1-1 after one period between the Capitals and the Canucks.

Gotta love the SNET lead-in for the Caps/Canucks highlights.

"The Canucks trying to do what no other team in the league has done this season, stop Alex Ovechkin".

Seriously?

Sedins are playing as good as they have since the year Henrik won the Hart

that 3rd goal was a great team goal, made the caps look silly

The Caps looks horrid on that sequence, standing around waiting to be scored on.

Man, the East is so weak.

Really sad that this Caps team is likely a playoff team.

It's not that they're bad, per se, their defense is actually somewhat underrated and Holtby's pretty okay. They're just overly reliant on Ovechkin and their first PP unit (which is itself a bit overly reliant on Ovechkin). They really need to get something going with Grabovski as the second engine because he has all the skill needed to create offense if you put him with the Johanssons and Erats of the world, but right now he's playing with Joel Ward and somebody, so yeah.

Also losing a close game to the Canucks isn't really something to be ashamed of, they're playing pretty well at the moment.

Fixed.

And up until 4 games ago the Caps also had Martin Erat buried on the 4th line playing around 8 mins with....wait for it....Tom Wilson & Aaron Volpatti or Michael Latta.

Outshot 41-19. Yes, that is something to be ashamed of.

What Caps games have you been watching? They're not playing pretty well at the moment at all. They played horrible against Calgary, only won against EDM & WPG because of how brutal those teams are.
