Our goaltending isn't very good.

The league is catching up to the Flames and things are starting to shape up like we thought they would and that's okay. Hard to beat good teams with poor goaltending and an abysmal power play. I know everyone will harp on the goaltending and rightfully so as this tandem is right up there with the worst in Flames history but if this team had a really, really good goaltender that could steal games we may be looking at a 9-10th place team and it's maybe too early for that as this team still needs some top talent especially on the blue line.

Loss sucks but it's part of the process and at least they aren't embarrassing themselves on the ice and with more talent the wins will come.

Next 5 games are at Chicago, St. Louis, Minnesota and Colorado ... and then home against the Sharks.

This could get ugly.

8 minutes for Backlund and a lot of PK time. Pathetic Hartley.

how can he show his offence with 8 minutes?

Hate to blame the goalie, but that was totally on MacDonald. Bleh.

I don't see the point of complaining about this. Colborne was good, Stajan is better than Backlund, so is Monahan.

That puts Backlund on the 4th line. 8 minutes is fine for a 4th liner.

He had his chances, he didn't do much with them, now it's Colborne's turn.

No one should be surprised, Hartley is not a good coach. This team was always going to be pretty bad but they started out much better than expected. I'm still a fan of the young guys and I think they'll be okay eventually. Just have to be patient and wait out the next few seasons.

All on MacRebound tonight. The 3rd and 4th goals were really weak and the 3rd really deflated the team

He's obviously gone after this contract if Hartley is still here. Will be nice to see him go somewhere else and be the player he could have been for us.

Backlund went out and took a bad penalty. He got benched for it. Hardly a big conspiracy to ruin his development.

If we had average goaltending we would had a good shot at winning this game. I say just ride Ramo for a bit and maybe he can get accustomed to the speed of the nhl.

The goaltending is a dumpster fire, just can't win that kind of play from that position. Other than that, nice fight back.

Another spirited effort from the Flames, and once again deserving a better fate.

The goaltending has been such a disappointment. At some point it's going to really frustrate the rest of the team - too many wasted efforts.
