Another bizarre vital from center ice for Vancouver's first goal. Hits Fleury in the chest, bounces over his head and into the net with Fleury looking for it. Brutal

Vancouver has been absolutely dominating the Penguins...Fleury has been a busy guy.
They look as good as they ever have...and that is painful to admit.

I've noticed it too, along with the official Flames site.

Gamecentre live isn't working on my appletv, very annoying as I love watching afternoon hockey on Saturday. The today's game page shows the games but hasn't updated them to access the streams. Ugh..

The canucks are an interesting study this year. They really have completed the shift from a skilled team to a grinding one.
They shoot from everywhere so their high shot totals are a bit misleading. Tortorella has them playing a very north-south game and the D are quite aggressive pinching up the walls. Flip side is that skilled teams are going to expose them for odd-man rushes.
Thing is their most effective players are their foot soldiers in this style and it's going to be a tough style to maintain over a long season. They'll grind out a lot of one-goal victories over the mediocre teams but will be handled pretty easy by more skilled clubs.
They look like the 3rd best team in the division and will probably claim that playoff spot. Don't like their chances playing LA or SJ in round one though which is almost certainly going to be the outcome.

How does Kassian not get a hitting from behind on that one?

Kassian scores to go ahead, then Olli Maatta scores his 1st NHL goal to tie it again.

I was just about to post that Vancouver is winning a lot of tight games on the road after Kassian just scored, but Maatta scores his first a minute later and I have to rethink my position. Luongo let out a rather large rebound straight to Olli and he pounced.
Not that Luongo is terrible, but I think goaltending might be the 'nucks achilles heel this year.

Kassian is such a punk. Just fits into the Canucks mold so well of players to hate.

Kassian is very lucky Dupuis fell just before he hit him or that would have been a bad, bad hit. Still a reckless, dirty play by him but not surprising given history.
That Pittsburgh goal should be much more on the Canucks defense (albeit I think one was Henrik) backing in and letting Pittsburgh walk in with ease. Maata is left wide open to easily tap in the rebound there.

He sure does. Of course he would score a goal when he should be in the penalty box. Typical
