Can't complain losing 1 and winning 1 to Phoenix... two very close games against a great team. It would be nice to see some scoring coming out of my top line though.

Dallas takes 2 games to the SO and comes out 1-1. I have yet to finish a game in regulation. Bernier playing well for his rating but big guns are not converting despite generating lots of shots. Maybe bring the blender out for the next round of games...

I probably should figure out a way to start taking fewer penalties though. Will bite me sooner rather than later.

Hmm. Made one major change which was to put Burns up front. Worked at least for 2 games.

Just as a heads up for those interested, I have found that the sim uses the line-ups for the first two games, rather than the line-ups for the specific pre-season games to be played.

I set lines for games 5/6, but the sim used the line-ups for games 1&2 (which I didn't have set).

Not a big deal during the season with new roster files regularly, but I'm blaming the issue for my terrible performances in games 5&6.

Pretty satisfied with our specialty teams play, and so far Kronwall has been a welcome addition. 5-1 win followed by 3-1 loss, both games with a ton of shots

no major complaints as Sabres split a pair of games withe Pens. Roman Josi has been a solid rookie all camp and was a deserved first star in the 2nd game. Jesse Joensuu made his debut and didn't do much, someone else's turn tomorrow likely the great Riley Holzapfel.

Split a pair of games with the Panthers. Put some AHLers into the lineup for the first game and they didn't disappoint (Brossoit 27 saves and 1st star, Killorn 2 assists, Johnson 1 goal, Jooris 1 goal). Forgot to copy the lines to the 2nd game and lost a close one.

2-4-0 on the preseason ... not great, especially in the goalscoring department - 12 goals in 6 games is a Eastern Conference worst. Lecavalier has been fine, but guys like Richards (1 assist in 5 games) and Stempniak (1 assist in 6 games) seriously need to pick it up.
