Default Embedding tweets?

Is it possible to embed an individual tweet on this forum?

e.g. Say I take a tweet

https://twitter.com/TSNBobMcKenzie

Scroll over it and under the "more" option if gives the embed tweet option then tells me to "Add this Tweet to your website by copying the code below" with a preview.

Can this be done here? Thanks.

Should be do-able, I'll check it out.

Looks like it isn't a simple embed like Youtube or Vimeo, to do it in a more abstract way (i.e. so that you only have to paste in the twitter id) it has to make a call to a twitter API to get the HTML to show the tweet, and that's rate limited so we have to cache the responses which means database and programming. I looked and didn't see any plugins to do this for our version of vBulletin.

One thing CP could consider is just having a #calgarypuck hashtag, and having a Twitter widget follow the conversations and tweets. Doesn't have to embed into user posts, and would rely on external API stability. Should be pretty easy to surface though if Twitter does not have unreasonable limits on service requests. I think there are enough users following Twitter content where this could be viable.
