Question Is there anything in Calgary named after Terry Fox?

The annual Terry Fox Run will take place on September 15. If you would like to participate, volunteer, or donate, click here. Having said that, I was in Winnipeg this past week, going door to door, in order to have the locals sign my petition to rename a local Community Centre, the Terry Fox Community Centre.

It amazes me that Fox was born in Winnipeg, and the city has never named anything in his honor. IMO, he was one of the great Canadian heroes. If anyone deserves a building, road, or structure named after him, it's Terry Fox. So I came up with the idea to petition the government to name something after him.

Is there any road, building, park, etc named after Terry Fox in Calgary? I was just curious to ask, as I have never noticed anything. For those too young to remember Terry Fox, a video of him is provided below:

Is there anyone in Calgary named after Terry Fox?

http://www.whitepages.ca/name/Terry-Fox/Calgary-AB

result: inconclusive unless you count the phonetic Terry Fuchs. 5 T. Fox's but they are probably all Thadeus.

Also has it been mentioned there is a school?

Maybe there is a fox named Terry living in a greenspace somewhere. I wonder what he'd say...
