You could try a bike wrench (also known as a cone wrench), but I believe they generally only come in metric. As mentioned above, I usually opt for the crappy extra wrench and a couple of minutes on a bench grinder.

Snap on or other high quality wrenches I believe a little narrower than your typical crappy tire wrench, might not be narrow enough though.

Go to the wrench complex on third. You know, in the wrench district.

I like to keep a set of cheap wrenches from Princess auto for custom purposes only. Need it thin grind it, need it to fit around a corner use the oxy and bend it, etc etc. All with no worry about wrecking a good one.

Canadian Tire doesn't list all of their products online so you may not be wasting time if you head down and check the store... whether or not they have it on the shelf is a different story.

Probably if they have the wrench it will be locked behind glass, and it will take 15 minutes to flag down the right teenager who has the keys.

Buy a waterjet machine and some 1/8" steel plate. Cut yourself a wrench. Simple.

What size do you need? Because if it is somewhat standardish, and nothing huge, I bet Ikea would have one of those disposable wrenches laying around.

15 minutes? Are you exaggerating? If not, I wish they had service that quick in Lethbridge (both stores).

There's part of me that wonders what would happen if I smashed the glass, took what I needed, and left. Their response time seems to be at least 15 minutes, so I could be long gone.
Then the part of me that likes fresh air decided not to shop at Canadian Tire.

If they have them it may be rather expensive but maybe try Hillhurst Hardware? Don't think they are open weekends though.
They are kind of the go to shop for the pros around town.
