I've been a member for a while, and I'm normally not a person that would be spamming out random links, but a work colleague of mine has created this awesome idea for something that I'd like to support, and I figured I would share it with all of you. Quick high level idea of what he wants to create:
Kevin Crowe is looking to create a web portal that would allow people to make micro donations of Air Miles to people, so can visit their terminally ill loved ones in a time of need. I'm sure we all could have benefited from something like this at one point, I know I would have loved to see my Grandparents more when they were sick. This is a brand new start up that he's just created, and currently he has been able to complete 1 successful trip to allow someone in Halifax to come to Calgary to visit their best friend in the hospital, who is suffering with a brain tumor, and from what I've gathered, there is another flight in the works for another group. All the work is currently manual, and he'd like to create a web front for this, and is looking into air loyalty programs as well.
