I got these tonight. They are AWESOME. I'm so impressed. Just a fantastic wireless headset all around. I can wander around my entire house with them no problem and the sound quality is fantastic.
I have a pair of these and love them. They are not the end all be all but for the price you can't beat them. Extremely comfortable and are excellent for music, not as good for surround but still very good.
The wireless works flawlessly as well no drop outs or strange noises. Only knock is the plastic plates where the band meets the ear cups is a bit fragile, mine broke after a couple of years so I used epoxy putty to fix.
Wow I've been waiting for this thing to go on sale for so long thanks for the heads up.
I have the G35 which is the wired (and older) version of this headset, and it has been fantastic. The only problem I had with it was the wire itself, which had this ridiculous tendency to get all tangled up, so this is perfect.

I just wanted to bump this for visibility. This deal is still available if anyone else is interested!
Just ordered a set for my Dad. He got a new drum kit, and he wants to play to music, but can't here it over his drums. I know this set is geared towards gaming, but they should do the trick for now. And if he doesn't like them, I'll buy them back from him just in time for Star Citizen!

I always thought this was a gimmick anyway (ie: You don't need special headphones, just software processing.)
Try this with any pair of headphones / earbuds you have kicking around.
I used the Xbox One Stereo Headset (which are ~$70 and pretty impressive quality) and it worked just fine.
Heh, Qsound's been around a loooong time, I remember doing some stuff with it when I was getting my degree.
Software processing makes broad assumptions about the shape of the ears and how the brain processes sound and such, so it only works with some people (no idea what %).
Unfortunately for me it doesn't work all that well. I do hear kind of an expanded sound stage, and I get some of the close/far info (i.e some things sound like they are coming from far away rather than the speaker or inside my head), but I don't get any kind of front/back depth from it, I still just hear things moving from left to right, far stuff sounds above me, and close stuff sounds kind of behind me but inside my head still.
I used to have a 5.1 set that had extra speakers, and that was awesome in terms of game play, I could actually locate players by their footprints in a multi-player game for example.

Well, I'm not sure how it works for other people... but I have a surround sound system for my home theatre and when I was using these, I had a hard time distinguishing between my home theatre system and the headset. They do a really nice job for me.

Huge thanks to Dion for the signature!
The deal is over. I wavered too long because I was trying to find a solution that also worked with standard jacks for all my music gear.
I'll wait for another one or maybe look into professional wireless headphones for musicians.
I was watching Pacific RIM in 3D at home the other day with simulated surround on my wimpy soundbar and thought that some simulated 7.1 headphones might have been nice.
