First of all, I would like to welcome these young men to the Calgary Flames and hope they do really well with the Calgary Flames.
Secondly, the reported deal out of Boston was Koko+Bartkowski+Conditional 1st
In my opinion:
The permanent first > Conditional first
Agostino = Khokhlachev
Hankowski = Bartkowski
I am actually excited for Agostino as he has been doing very well in college and I think he can actually become a top 6 player.
At the end of it all, we got all that for a rental during a SHORT season when the cap is going to go down as well who we can potentially re-sign in 3 months.
This wasn't an easy trade to make and as many have said, Iggy might have chosen the deal to take. Therefore, let's not get overly crazy as all of a sudden we now have 2 FIRST round picks in a deep draft.
Next up is to trade the rest of this junk and start fresh. I wonder if Baertschi will be called up again soon.
Oh and last thing, keep your expectations realistic with these guys. They aren't coming in to replace Iginla. I already feel bad for them as their every move is going to be looked at with a microscope.

If Iginla is back in a few months then I welcome them then. If Iginla is gone for good then they might as well be wearing Canucks jerseys. Would have been a lot easier welcoming J. Morrow and Feaster really dropped the ball since I am sure the Pens view B. Morrow as a potential rental too.
they are teammates with college UFAs, Antoine Laganiere and Drew LeBlanc. I imagine Weisbrod and company got a good look of all of them. Now have two contract spots open

Scouting report on Hanowski is that he's a solid strong winger with a good shot. He's not fast, but he isn't slow either. He's a smart player (they both are) and will be the one who has a better chance at being a long term guy.
I don't know much about Ago.
Soon we'll have Jankowski and Hanowski. It would be fun if they were linemates.
Location: My dark but surprisingly comfortable basement apartment.

I like that both these young kids have been progressing well (at least according to online profiles), I'm really excited that we're bringing in youth.. keep it going Feaster.. it's our time, finally.

Both 6' 2" and 200#, so we didn't get a couple of more smurfs. Hanowski seems to play LW, RW and centre. Agostino plays defence and had 17 points in 34 games this season.

Huh. Agostino is a forward and had 37pts this season

Agostino is a LW, not a D. He has 37 points in 33 games this season.

Kenneth Agostino: Average size (6'0" or so, ~190 lb), bit of a jack of all trades player. Probably fits anywhere in the line up. Solid north-south player...goes to corners and plays physical as needed. Reasonable hands. Probably an all zones, all situations player. Standout is his commitment...he just won't quit trying. I'd probably compare him to Max Reinhart in terms of Flames prospects. Projection is, if he makes the NHL, a bottom 6 forward...but I could see him going up to a 2nd line forward as a ceiling.
Ben Hanowski: Pretty big (6'2", ~200 lb), fell in the draft due to skating overall. Lacks explosiveness and top end speed. Good hands, though can't stick handle in a phone booth, and reasonably physical. Better shooter than playmaker. Good intelligence overall and seems to know where to be offensively. Sounds a lot like a mini-Iginla in this regard. Was listed in the NCAA's top 10 prospects on hockeysfuture, 8th (Gaudreau was 2nd, Bill Arnold 7th for Flames prospects). Projection is probably a 2nd-3rd line forward, if he makes the NHL at all.
