Default Any indoor/rock climbers on CP?

Back in college I was starting to get into climbing, and then just kind of quit. Looking to get back into it, but it's kind of tough to do as a solo sport. Just wondering if there's any other CPers into climbing who would be interested in getting together a few times a month for some climbing!

Wow so now my climbing wall on the side of my house isn't good enough for you.

You haven't gone up and tested the thing yet.

I've got a membership for CCC/Stronghold. Right now I mostly boulder but I'm open to doing rope routes. Unfortunately I work nights so my schedule doesn't mesh very well with people who work days.

Those holds are small it is dangerous up there after drinking. I'll try to be more brave next time and make it to the top. Worst case scenario it provides a real world experience since you never know if your hold on a mountain is going to give out and cause you to fall. Falling off the wall you will probably just crash into the fence where as a mountain you might fall to your death.

Sketchy wall on the side of my house > real mountains!

I've got a membership at Stronghold, but I won't be climbing until after Septemberish. I was rehabbing some injuries and will be traveling a bit until the fall. I usually boulder for quick indoor sessions, but wouldn't mind tying in again.

try : www.meetup.com/Calgary-Climbing/‎

Also if you contact any of those gyms and tell them you are probably looking for a partner, they likely have a list.

I've gone out a couple times this summer. My cousin and his buddy (rock climbing instructor) have taken me up a couple of times. Man that was fun.

+1 here.

Will be going out with a friend to Canmore this Sunday if anyone is looking for a ride (and is confident with lead climbing).

Hey Kunkstyle, if you're still looking for someone to climb with shoot me a pm. I climb a couple of times a week, usually at Chinook (CCC), but sometimes at the stronghold.
