Default Any Mac/xsan/Storenext experts around?

Hey guys

Wondering if anyone out there is familiar Mac OS 10.8.3, Xsan 3 and Stornext?

This is my first time using Mountain Lion and I think my Xsan 3 and server version of Stornext are not compatible as I cannot get the mac mini to automount (mount at all) the SAN volumes. The procedure I have used to mount my older Mac Pros as clients isn't working for me know.

Can I roll back the xsan version to 2.2 so it is compatible with my stornext version or even load 10.6.8 and then load xsan 2.2?

Google and Apple have not been much help.

Geez, I thought CP would be a wealth of knowledge on this stuff. Oh well, eventually got it working. The issue all along was the old method I would use to automount volumes. Completely not needed with this new version of xsan. On older OS and xsan you load xsan but don't run it or enable it, essentially all you need is the serial number from it. Took me a few tries to get someone at Apple support that knew anything about this but the guy I found was pretty good. The new version needs to be enabled and does what the old script used to do automatically.

To answer my own questions you cannot uninstall xsan an load an older version nor can you roll back the version of the OS on the mini. I'm sure there is a way but it probably involves more hackery than I want to do. Apple locks down the drivers and binaries pretty tightly.

Through all this I can honestly say I hate apple...

Yeah, but that's a billable question you posed
