Default Hockey Equipment Donations

So I'm helping my parents move right now and in their garage is a pile of old hockey equipment from my youth that I don't use anymore. I was wondering what places in Calgary people here have used for used hockey equipment donations, I would like it that my equipment went to kids that can't afford to play hockey otherwise instead of trying to sell it.

I would have thought Kidsport would accept donations but their website just indicates that they take money, not equipment.

Depends on the age, IRRC, somethings expire, ie: helmets.

I think High River minor hockey was doing some sort of donation for equipment.

Check with your local community centre. I know mine does sports equiptment drives by donation, where families in need can pick up the equiptment with a food-bank donation.

Fan960 just pulled through for me, they just said on Saturday at Flames Centennial Arenas they have an area set up to donate gently used equipment for HEROS Hockey charity from 11AM-3PM.

Here's the link for the charity if anyone was wondering:

I would suggest that you wash the gear first, if it falls apart then don't donate it.
