Default Windows 8 recovery disk question

So my GF bought a HP laptop with Windows 8. I burned her 3 disks with the HP Recovery Manager but my question is does that include the Windows 8 that is installed on there or do I have to do a seperate recovery disk via USB from Windows 8 itself? I know dick about Windows, I am an OSX guy.

The recovery disks are to take the laptop back to an 'as delivered' state. So yes, it includes Windows 8.

But it's not a Windows 8 install disk, you can't do a clean install from them. Only a return to the factory fresh image.
