Sad to hear that he is unable to play this year but smart decision rather than risking his health.

While I hate the Pats and hope that bad things happen to them all the time I would never wish for something like this to happen. Its unfortunate especially considering Brusci ws one of the few guys I actually could stand on the Pats.

The Pats will miss Brew...we may have to wait an extra year to win the next Cup now.
Nah...knowing the Pats theyll go find a decent replacement for this year.

Take care Brew...your one of the best!

That sucks, I'm not a huge pats fan, but man you gotta respect that team, they've built a team the right way. I think they're kinda the Calgary Flames of the NFL (except they dominate, where as we've had one good year, but here's hoping), in that they all buy into the team system, and no one guy is bigger than the team, even though they have a few who otherwise would be if they were on other teams.

I'm glad he's taking a year off. Really dumb idea to go play 16 games of football after a stroke. The man had a hole in his heart for heaven's sake.

Well, I think thats why Bellicheck picked up Chad Brown from Seattle in the offseason, I think he knew that TB wasnt gonna play. But I dont think the Pats can do it again, but then again, asking for another SuperBowl might be a little much to ask from these guys again
