Berra should be the backup to Hiller I'd think over Gerber and Conz
I hope Sven gets big minutes up front with Nino and Brunner

I believe Sven has a spot to lose given that roster.

That would be a safe assumption.

Berra might have his work cut out for him competing with that Torhueter group.

Benjamin Conz was lights out in the 2010 WJs. Was voted best goalie of the tournament, as was ranked the 4th international goalie by the NHL scouting bureau for that draft.
I'm amazed that he still hasn't gotten a shot in North America and went undrafted.

"Severin Blindenbacher" has to be one of the greatest hockey names ever.

Sounds like a Hogwarts exchange student name.

Awesome stats in the Swiss A last season as well.
Signing him may have been a better option than trading for Berra.

They are starting to finally develop some good Sturmer prospects which will help them take the leap into the BIG 7.

Tim Rambolt on the list. and Micro Mueller not. San Jose traded up to get Mueller 18th overall.
Swiss federation ticked at him leaving at 17 to play in the CHL?

if for some reason Canada doesn't win I would love to see Switzerland take gold. They really play the game as it is meant to be played, as a team; their work ethic and dedication to do all the little things right is second to none. If any one of the big countries played that way they would never lose a game.

Interesting that Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia and Latvia are in it, but no Germany now.
Switzerland has kind of replaced Germany it seems (a team that wasn't stacked, but always played a hard game).

It's equivalent to approximately an "eww" sound in English.
