Flames sign Sieloff (3yrs, $925k AAV)

Contract Terms: Three-year two-way entry level contract at US $832,500 / $70,000 per season with an annual signing bonus of $92,500 with an average annual value of $925,000.

That is correct. His contract does not start until he plays more then 10 games professionally (NHL or AHL).

Can't remember who, think it was Craig Conroy that thinks Sieloff could crack the NHL next year, thinks he is the one young guy that can make the team.

I can not wait for him to light some one up at the prospects game in September! I think he adds an element that the flames have lacked for the last 3 or 4 seasons.

He definitely is of an NHL caliber defensively, although at this point in time, I would think that he's more of a 5-6 guy. It wouldn't really surprise me if he made the team for 9 games (or maybe more) but I would prefer he gets a bit more time in juniors. He will be an nhler soon, very soon.
