Default Sometimes people just shouldn't get out of jail

http://blogs.vancouversun.com/2013/0...-sex-assaults/

Sickening to read. I don't understand why this guy should ever get out of jail.

Quote:
A man who maintains that there’s nothing harmful about having sex with small children has been sentenced to 12 years in prison for raping his live-in girlfriend’s two-year-old daughter every night for about two months and filming the act.
The details in the Chilliwack provincial court decision posted online today are gruesome and distressing; the judge described the evidence he saw as “extremely disturbing.”
The young victim was calling her 27-year-old rapist “Daddy” when he moved in with the family a few months after he started dating her mother, according to Judge Roger Cutler’s July 10 decision.
I've always thought that people who abuse children and multiple time violent offenders should really never ever get out.

This kind of confirms my feelings. I don't blame the judge, they have sentencing guidlines that they have to follow.

It goes beyond understanding that the prosecutor hasn't moved at least for dangerous offender status.

Sometimes people should just be executed. Like this guy.

I can't forget stories like this after reading them. And I think a little part of my soul dies each time I hear something like this. 2 years old. I just...

Yeah...wow. That's insane. He sees nothing wrong with this, and in fact sees it as "the purest form of love."? Sounds like he should remain behind bars and have long chats with psychologists for the rest of his life.

If long chats with psychologists is code for "Having his ass beat every day." Then I agree.

If the stories are true, he'll be having long chats with a few people's fists, amongst other things. Child molesters/rapists tend not to fare very well in prison, if what is said is to be believed. He may never leave prison - alive.

He'll never see general population.

He'll spend 9 years in segregation and then be quietly released.

It really is a shame that our system does not allow for a charge for each time the attack occurred, similar to what that kidnapper in the US recently had. I think he has 650 charges against him or something.

The British used to have a sentence called "To the Queens pleasure" It basically meant that your sentence was to be determined and had no limit.

I think in this case it would apply well.

Personally they should cut this guys junk off, tar it over and slap in a straw so he can pee.

I've looked at that and I don't understand it. But what I read is that its more along the line of indefinite supervision once he's released into society.

I don't know if they can hold him past the full prison term.

Hmm, I understood it as indefinite incarceration, but I should look that up again.

And in this case, I would be more surprised if he does not have this label slapped on him at some point. Notwithstanding how weak our sentencing standards are at times, this guy will probably be in jail as long as pyschologists remain convinced he believes what he believes.

Another example of the Canadian justice system failing. The guy needs to never see sunlight again.

12 years in the general prison population? I doubt the pedophile makes it out alive...

The only solace I take in this horrifying crime is hopefully this poor child wont remember any of most of the abuse. What an animal. A prison guard should do society a favour and put him in with the general population and let the other criminals deal with him.
