I often complain about the flames crappy website; glad they are improving and adding content. They did a good job leading up to and at the draft, and this looks to be another good addition, especially if they keep it updated and consistently add content

I love the individual bios each player has, so far it looks great and as you said Canada as long as they keep it updated this is going to be a great asset moving forward.

Love the Flames TV videos!
(well I guess except for how awkward Kristin Hallett is)

Anyone else notice that Baertschi isn't listed on the roster tab for the prospect site?

This is good. Having a website like this will keep the Flames organization under pressure to maintain a strong prospect pool for them to report on to the fanbase. Should help us avoid ever devolving back to the pre-Sutter days where we barely maintained a farm team.

Also good. He should be considered a full time NHLer for next season anyway. Promoted from prospect to rookie.

It's funny, becuase the flames web team is probably one of the strongest in the league at the moment. There are some teams that are just horrible at providing strong content on the web site. Really happy of the types of content the Flames web team provides and it's cool to see them breaking ground with this new microsite. (Apparently it's the first of it's kind from an official team in the NHL)

This sounds like a great addition. I loved following the prospect thread in the Back Burner forum last season. This should be a nice resource so people don't have to go scouring through game sheets to get the latest numbers.

Agostino and Gaudreau praise each other having grown up as rivals in NJ.. Cliff notes:
Quote:
"I'm extremely happy he's on our side now," Gaudreau told CalgaryFlames.com. "Growing up and playing against him, it was always like, 'Oh, I gotta play him again.' The guy circled on sheet has always been Kenny. It's awesome that he's part of the Flames organization now."
Agostino echoed Gaudreau's sentiments and is looking forward to the possibility of playing alongside the winger in the future.
"He's such a gifted, skilled guy and to have the chance to play with him one day is very cool. For years, I've had to play against him; it would be great to play with him instead."

It is so transparent that both these guys are lying and clearly they are planning on "Schultzing" the Flames...probably hold a combined press conference or TV special to announce it and throw up the middle finger salute.

What type of mobile device are you using? Theres a HTML5 version of their video player if you access it with an iPhone, Android or iPad. BlackBerry there does seem to be some issues.

The Puffin browser for iPhone also pretty much owns up flash content.

I watch every video on the iPhone. Use the NHL GameCenter app, open left menu, click videos, scroll to bottom, your fave team is listed there, click and it has every video calgaryflames.com has ever posted, in order of date posted.
It updates instantly too, so as soon as they are up on the website, they're available on the app.

Man, this part of the Flames website is absolutely fantastic.
I could spend all day just looking through each prospects profile....some of the newer ones don't have a "profile" yet, but I'm sure they will soon.

Flames still have Ferland as 6', 195.
Hockeydb has him at 6'1, 225. HF at 6'2, 208. I wonder what his real size is?

Heh, that's funny because on the page that lists all the prospects, I noticed many of their dimensions seemed out of whack as well.
However, if you click on the guys with actual profiles it links you to their profile page with what seems like more accurate (recent?) updates on height/weight in most cases.
Funny that they don't have both pages the same....somebody is slacking haha.
In Ferland's case, when you go to his profile page he's listed as 6'1 225lbs.
