I assume Bernier only asked for 1 year and $550K and this was the counter offer form the Leafs.

I think that's a pretty good deal for the Leafs. Bernier could turn out to be a top notch goalie so 2.9 could become a steal.

I wonder if Riemer ends up on the oil.

Well when you consider what we gave Ramo with less NHL games played and brutal stats when he did play with Tampa it would have been hard for them to make a case for less. Only $300k more than Ramo seems like they got off easy since he could have used that deal to drive up the price.
