Cullen definitely strikes me as Preds type of player.

Stalberg should add some depth on the wings to a team that sorely needs it.

$3 million for Stalberg?

Seems way too high.

But it seems I think that almost every deal is too high today so perhaps i should just expect it now.

Stalberg signed for 5% of the cap. With 23 player roster the average salary is 4.3%. I just over the NHL average Salary too much for Stalberg?

In general I think people need to rething what is expensive for a player. The going rate for a star coming out of the lockout was 7 million of the 39million cap or 18%. If someone did that now it would be 11.5 million. The 50% increase in what players are paid combined with the top players being paid less means that there is more money for the mid level guys.

3 million for Stalberg is a great deal compared to Clarkson and Clowe.

Good for Stålberg. Sounds like a fair deal to me.

Stalberg is all speed and "potential". Really never clicked as a finisher, not a superior passer, completely un-physical, and , at times, lacking a commitment to playing D. If the Preds think that he will instantly improve their anemic scoring, then they are setting themselves up for disappointment.

Stalberg is a nice complimentary player, but I can't see him as a "go to" guy to carry an offense.
