I'd take Ballard at 2 mil on 3 years or less.

Bob McKenzie @TSNBobMcKenzie
NSH's Sergei Kostistyn also on unconditional waivers but it could be for mutually agreed to termination of contract as opposed to buyout.

Surprised by Gerbe being waived.
Too small for my liking but an intriguing player nonetheless.

I'd take him on a 1 year 1mil style contract. Very small, but has some potential for big plays.

There was some clarification on the waiver rules this morning. Tomorrow is actually the last day for buyout waivers:
Bob McKenzie@TSNBobMcKenzie2h
Correction: Players being bought out can be put on unconditional waivers today or tomorrow, not just today.
Tom Gulitti@TGfireandice2h
Although end of buyout period is 5 p.m. (ET) Thurs, as long as player is on unconditional waivers by noon Thurs., he can be bought out.

If the team was not too small already, and didn't have 15 LWs, I would take Gerbe.
Boston will take him on the cheap. Boston College star, was loved in Boston similar to Gaudreau, and they have the size needed in their lineup to protect him.

take Gerbe and dump Byron. That trade would be easier to swallow.
Regher 2nd rounder and Kotalik for Butler, Gerbe and $3million bucks.

What happened to Tom Gilbert?
He had promise...
I guess there's a reason the Oilers traded him and now Minny wants out

He was always terrible - Oiler fans were just trying to convince the world otherwise.

Why? Byron is on a 2 way and can play as an emergency call up. Gerbe even at $1.4 million is to much. If Gerbe wants a 2 way contract then sure.
