what the heck!!! he is 35 years old and coming off a 2 goal season.

There is no way to stop these crazy GM's from giving out crazy contracts.


Is this a poison pill that Lou L. is making it harder for the Devil's to be sold?

Missed 26 games with a wrist injury. Had 44 points the season before.

Isn't he good friends with Elias...could be a way to make sure Elias gets signed.

Still though WTH is Lou thinking, he is probably only worth $2 million per season max.

Not onl is that a bad signing, but i am amazed that NJ could throw money like that out the door. Are they not in huge financial trouble?

When I saw it on the ticker, I had thought he had come out of retirement. Didn't realize he was still playing. OMFG what a terrible contract.

He's enormous, a character guy and very versatile. Similar to Handzus who impressed so much in the playoffs. Age is the only question mark, imo.

Played against him in Minneapolis when I was 15, so have a special place in my heart for him.

He's been a solid Devil and deserves to finish out his career there.

I like the signing.

He was a pretty underrated player back in the day. I guess they are making up for lost time.

When I saw the title I asked myself if there is maybe another Zubrus but it's the same guy. He's got staying power I guess but this money and term for him at this age is pretty questionable IMO.
