damn, I think that was one guy the Flames really could have used next year.

They still need to find 1 more top 4 dman to even dress a respectable NHL roster.

I like Leopold but I don't think he would be the best fit here. We need someone a little more physical.

Andrew Ference is the guy the Flames should target.

Geez, that 2004 Flames defence pipeline just keeps on chugging along, nine years later:

- Regehr
- Leopold
- Ference
- Commodore
- Montador
- Lydman

All still active in the NHL, with the exception of the Doors who I think both played in the AHL last season. Only Warrener and Gauthier have retired.

I think a Right Handed Dman that can play 20 + minutes is the biggest need on the entire roster, so when I looked at the free agent list Leo was the best fit.

Not a vary physical top 4, but hopefully you can get O'Brein, Breen, Cundari, Wotherspoon, or maybe an FA to play that physical game in the bottom pairing / PK.

Either way, it not happening now. So I guess its time to move on.
