Capitals State of the Union
It has certainly been an interesting time around Washington. With GM pulling triple duties of father, increased workload and CPHL GM it has been difficult to balance everything and put the same sort of effort into the league as before. That being said, I still really enjoy my experiences here and will stay on and do the best I can to respond to/make trade offers to once again make the Capitals a competitive team.
Last season was the tale of two years. With a meteoric start to the season and then a crash and burn to finish the year GM Hesla is going to be trying to get more consistency this coming season. We started the offseason with the intention of using our vast amounts of cap space and solid set of prospects to try and add immediately for next season. This has proven difficult as GM's seem stingier this offseason than in the past.
The team is currently not a playoff team. With Patrick Elias and Ryane Clowe being sent out for Glencross, Moss, and a slate of prospects the team's direction seems to be trending towards rebuild. However, this is not how we usually operate in the Capital and we are going to try and build up the team back into contention. We feel we have a strong base of young players/prospects who are valuable assets to have. With Dubnyk (and potentially Kipper) in net we feel this is not an area of concern. Defense will need to be improved, but the priority will be to build up front. It is pretty thin there.

PM and email works best.
In closing, I apologize for not being as active as normal, however I am always going to answer PMs on time and respond to offers if given.
Thanks
