Impacted by flood? Need some cleanup help?

A lot of people will be returning to homes that will need some serious cleanup around their yards basements etc. It goes without saying there is going to be a massive shortage of professional cleanup companies to help with this task. If anyone needs some help getting their lives back in order, maybe willing volunteers can post here.

I can make myself available for 3-4 hours a day, and I have access to a half ton.

Being in construction I have no idea what next week will bring but if you need help please ask. My wife and I will be donating our time as best we can. Spoke with Goodyear last night and he mentioned he would be keen to help as well.

Ya I will help out with any clothes people may need too. I am actually coming to work in Calgary on Tuesday & Wednesday so if people need something please feel free to ask!

Lots of things are coming to mind. What have people lost? Things like furniture, fridges, bedding, clothes? I don't have extras of much of this stuff myself, but would be willing to donate a few bucks so someone can replace what they've lost.

What about the less fortunate? I think I'll shoot a donation over to the Mustard Seed.

Please start designing a "4A Street Ain't Afraid of no Flood" logo. Must include a latte in the design.

Im on the western edge of Beltline, so we're totally fine. A few blocks east, and the power is out, and a few blocks north and it's evacuated, but life here hasn't changed much. Hobos still hoboing like it aint no thang.

Im in edmonton so i may not be of much use, but what i might be able to do is round up some kids toys (girls 5 and under) if youve hand your kids toys lost or destroyed. That can be pretty tough on a kid, so if you need some, let me know and i will find a way to make it work to get them down there.

I will get my kids to put together some packages tonight just in case.

An airport connected friend is hearing that many passengers coming to YYC for the mountains are starting to run out of places to stay here.

How can we get the word out and let people open their homes up for these stranded tourists?
