The 'Hawk offense has been sputtering lately...the Blues were AWFUL, giving up 7 goals to Columbus last game...

Caricillo and Kruger, on the 4th line, play some good D and turn it in to a 2 on 1...Kruger with the finish...1-0 'Hawks

Bad defensive rotation, when Oduya jumped into the play, leads to a Taresenko, highlight reel, breakaway...Crawford completely undressed...tied at 1

Did St. Louis finally find their franchise forward they've been missing since maybe Keith Tkachuk in Taresenko?

HORRIBLE rebound by Elliot on a Rundblad shot...Bickell cleans up the rebound in the low slot...2-1 'Hawks.
Apologies...misspelled Tarasenko in prior post.

Goal mouth scramble...Oshie gets wiped out into Crawford...Backes has an open side...2-2 now

What a dominant shift by the Blackhawks to end the game with the empty netter. Extremely impressive road win by them.

Hawks with a great last few minutes. St. Louis couldn't get anything going. 3-2 Chicago. As an aside - really like Oshie's game and would love to see him on the Flames.

The Blues top guys did all they could, the 'Hawk "depth" guys kept them in the game, until Hossa got the PP goal...Saad to Hossa for the ENG...Crawford has been playing better lately, but, this is the first game in a while, that the offense had some push...

Would be nice if the Hawks put that kind of effort out against the likes of Winnipeg or San Jose.

Resolute...the 'Hawks completely outplayed Saint Joe last week, but, Niemi stood on his head for the shutout...similarly, the 'Hawks dominated possession vs. the Kings, but had nothing to show for it...
'Hawks end up 4-3 on the road trip, as "Frozen on Ice" took over the UC for 3 weeks...and only 2 of the games ended up as 3 pointers.

Clearly the Hawks are afraid of meeting the Flames in the playoffs. Here are their last 10 games (bolded games matter to the Flames):
WPG - loss
DAL - loss
ARI - win
PIT - win
LAK - loss
ANA - win
SJS - loss
MIN - loss
WPG - win (OT)
STL - win
So in the games that don't affect the Flames, they went 4-0-0, beating 3 of the best teams in the league.
In the 6 games that affect the Flames, they went 1-5-0, giving those teams 11 of a possible 12 points.
**** you, Chicago.
Edit: fixed the record

Hell yea. He's also one of the most clutch players in the league, so a perfect fit beside Monahan, Jooris, Giordano, Brodie, Gaudreau

Do you think Kane deserves any consideration for The Hart this year (at least over Toews) Foss? I saw that piece on him during the intermission, and it's crazy that the only American to win the Hart played for the Hamilton Tigers back in the 1920's. He's second (now first!) in scoring, and is starting to do great work in all three zones. He made a few great plays at the end of the game, and it shows quite a bit that Quenneville has him on the ice in the last minute of a one goal game.

Heh, Enoch, your guys still do have their fate in their own hands, and don't need help from teams on potential "death march" road trips!

All I'm saying, foss, is maybe beat one of these teams once in while - we know the Hawks are capable.

Kane, is an interesting and exciting player, tracker, and not as awful defensively as others would have you believe, but, no, I don't think the Hart is realistic, unless he continues at better than a point per game pace, down the stretch. He is still viewed by many as "one-dimensional" (no matter how AWESOME that dimension is!)...and this will hurt him in the voting for the Hart. I think the Byng (whoopee) will be probable for him, though.
Frankly, I don't put much emphasis on individual awards...often political...often independent of team success...so I don't think that that hardware defines a player.
IMO, only the quantifiable Ross or Richard Trophies, really are "earned".

Doesn't look like the Rangers will be doing us any favours against Dallas.
