Head Coach > Associate Coach > Assistant Coach
Eakins is still in charge, but Acton is getting differentiated as something above/different than the other assistants.
My guess is that the way it would work is the assistants each have their own specific role (goalie coach, defense, powerplay, etc), while Acton helps out with the bigger picture.
