Default Recommend An Auto Detailing Shop!

Hey guys/gals!

Can anyone recommend a good and reasonably priced auto detailing shop in Calgary?

Also, if you have had a bad experience post that too. This is my first experience getting a vehicle detailed and I would like to go to the best if possible.

Thanks!

Give cody a shout...I know he is in the other thread and a bunch of people backed his work. Great rates as he is a student but the quality and detail is top notch.

Nobody loves your car as much as you do. Unless you go to one of those high end places that will charge you a couple hundred bucks for a really nice detail, chances are you could do a better job (and not scratch up your paint). If you have a few hours to spare on a weekend, I recommend doing it yourself! It can be strangely rewarding...putting on some tunes, cracking open a beer, and doing all this stuff yourself on a nice day....it's a good time. Although I've found it's a bit tougher to do a wash in Calgary considering you're not allowed to use shampoos in the street.

I recommend reading up on this page http://www.autogeek.net/detailingtips.html for a bit of a how-to from some ultra-dedicated detailers. You dont necessarily need all the buffers etc, just a few of the basics will do.

The exterior needs some TLC as there are quite a few scratches and dings and such. I definitely would do a followup job in the future myself but for this first one I think professionals are needed.

I contacted Dirt Cheap Detailing. I've been hearing good things! I want to see what Cody can do for me. Depending on the results, I may take the car to Chippy Auto afterwards if it still needs some more help.

Yeah, if you have a lot of scratches that need the attention of a good polisher, going to a good detailer is probably a better idea. Polishing paint poorly can lead to more harm than good.

Superior Autobody on 17th Ave. Recently had some work and the quote was reasonable, not too low or too high. They did an expert job. Also, if you keep invoice the work is guaranteed for life.

They are quite busy and work by an appointment for appraisal and then about a month out for the actual work.

A++

I think you may have bodyshop and detailer confused... Otherwise I am going there tomorrow, if they have a lifetime guarantee on detailing...

Shine Factory. May cost you more but they usually do a pretty top notch job.
