Before that though the Bruins gave up a first, a second and Colborne to get Kabarle. Burke made a great trade there.

If he paid the Flames 3 million to play here for a year I would pass.

Can't imagine him getting another NHL contract but GMs repeatedly show us there are fools everywhere in GM positions.

From what I remember they weren't too pleased with his game and didn't make an effort to re-sign him. Burke got for him comparable to what we got for Iginla.

I think he was good early on and a disaster by the end.

They won so every deal is a "win" but probably would be happy to not make that deal with 20/20 hindsight.
