The prospects are all borderline but grabbing Desharnais and Diaz helps me get younger while not losing a lot from my team. MSL is an awesome SIM player...I wish him well on his way to a cup in Pittsburgh.

Well there's a quantity for quality deal if I've ever seen one! Nevertheless, MSL is getting up there in age and if even 2 of the 20 prospects you got end up players, it'll end up fair or good for Calgary.

Id say Desharnais and Diaz are both decent young guys...doubt the prospects will be on my roster by the time they make it...or not.

Well we made it clear that Marty was a target early in the offseason. I could have picked up a couple other solid veteran top 6 guys for cheaper but we wanted MSL. Losing to young cheap contracts hurt this season as Desharnais will be a steal at 1.28 mill and Diaz is really developing his game and showing to be a power play weapon. I wouldn't be shocked to see him close in to the 40pt mark this NHL year.
I am hoping MSL gels nicely and fits alongside Stamkos as well as he does in the NHL.
