Another good resource is to go on Facebook and post this to the Calgary Humane Society page, and the AARCS (Alberta Animal Rescue Crew Society) page. They have die hard animal lovers all over Calgary that will keep their eyes peeled for ya. Hope you find him!

i saw this dog june 10 right about 1030 running on the road at NB deerfoot trail exit on glenmore. someone behind me pulled over, and got out of her car....looked like she might have hit the dog with her car but I'm not 100% positive though , i hope not. was a woman in red car iirc.

Bit of background info - it's not actually my dog. It's a long story, but basically it's owned by family friends. I only heard about it today, which is why I didn't start this thread sooner.

I'm amazed that you saw it. Doesn't sound good, but thanks so much for your help and I'll pass the info along.

Thanks CP! Keep your eyes out and I'll update this thread if any new info emerges.

Someone was killed on the 400 down here not that long ago because they tried to catch a dog running around on the highway.

If you have twitter send a tweet to the Mayor (@nenshi) asking him to retweet. He has in the past retweeted about lost dogs.

Thanks for the suggestion. I don't have one though. Anyone else?

I rescued a puppy on the 401 in December just outside of Whitby. Obviously you need to be smart when stopping...

Bad news: sounds like the dog was hit last night around the area where it was lost.

Thanks to everyone who helped! Sounds like no happy ending on this one though...

I would argue that it is never smart to stop on the 401 to chase down a dog.
