Got to hand it to Sutter, he was Regehr's fountain of youth. No chance if Reggie came back to Calgary that Hartely could have gotten Reggie to play the way he is playing right now.

Not sure he would get that deal if he wasn't dealt to LA. Looks like a win-win-win for Regehr, Sutter and the LA Kings.

I was one of those posters. I watched Buffalo games and he looked horrible. Credit should go to Reggie but also Sutter. As i said in another post no chance Hartely gets Reggie playing that way. Reggie would have been worth $10 if he stayed with the flames until now.

I think its just a function of the fact that he is playing with better players and has something to play for.

Chris Johnston @reporterchris 3m There wasn't a NMC/NTC included with Robyn Regehr's two-year extension with the #LAKings.

Good for Regehr. Still hard to stomach the absolute zero value we got for him in that trade. Butler and Byron are non-factors, Kotalik took off to the K...and we lost a 2nd round pick.

He sure seems like he's playing in the right system for the right coach now. Frankly Sutter seems like the right coach for a lot of players.

An LA Pittsbugh final could be very interesting.

I was one of those guys man enough to admit when I am wrong. He wasn't very good in his last few years with the Flames and worse with the Sabres. That said playing in front of one of one of the best goaltenders in the league on a team that plays tight defensive hockey has been a really good fit for the style of hockey he can play. He's looked pretty solid in the playoffs for the most part and hopefully he can maintain the current level of play for another couple of years.

Yep. I liked Butler more than most, but i really thought this year being put in the 5/6 slot he would have been better. Boy was i wrong. I still don't think Butler is AHL fodder, but on a good team he would be in and out of the pressbox.
Byron has shown me nothing that he could be a regular NHL player and a 2nd to boot.

A shame that Brent Sutter ruined a lot of players's values.
I still think that is on the high side for what Regehr is worth ($6 million over 2 years).
