Default 2013 Indianapolis 500

Andretti Autosport has been the dominant team all month at Indy, not shockingly Marco Andretti is the Las Vegas odds-makers favorite to win the 500, but many people picking are picking another Andretti driver in James Hinchcliffe who has had the hot hand to start the year as he has 2 wins in the first 4 races and sits a comfy fourth in points. Of course there is nobody in the stands or on TV who will be rooting harder for then in Tony Kanaan. If he wins, the stands will be shaking. The weather looks iffy with a 60% of rain.

Sportsnet/The Score had a great tribute video about Greg Moore this week. I highly recommend watching it.

It was, and seemingly always has been, on TSN. When has sportsnet ever had F1?

The ignorance in this statement is astounding.

Not to mention that Indy car racing is about a million times more entertaining and competitive than the elitist BS that Formula 1 nonsense is.

Oh if you would of woken up on time you would of been able to watch F1 like I did..

Though i HATE races ending under yellow...that was something pretty special.

Good for him, he has been so close so many times, this one seems very deserved.

I went to the race last year and Tony is a fan Favorite up there, he and Wheldon were very good friends. He wanted to win that race for Dan.

I've always loved Andretti and I'm starting to doubt whether we will see another Andretti win at Indy.

That is a great track, its a great race which has lost some of it's luster with the way Indy car series has gone.

Very happy for Tony. This win was long overdue.

Like it or not, Tony Kanaan winning the Indy 500 is definitely the equivalent of Dale Earnhardt winning the Daytona 500 in 1998.

Meh - Monaco is the worst "showcase" race in any pro racing series. Passing opportunities are so minimal, qualifying is the real race. The real attraction to this event is the "glamour" and pagentry of rich people. Kind of like a fashion show.

PS: The reason why you didn't see it on SPORTSNET is that it was broadcast on TSN....

That aside, it's good to see TK win, a bit of redemption for his prime years being in the superior CART series (I still hate you and the IRL Tony George). Sadly, "IndyCar" has a long way to go to gain it's lustre from the pre CART split days.

Bummer about Hinchcliffe's bad setup all day long.
