This was alright. A little pricey, but you got a couple drinks and snacks and then some take home gelato.

The science centre has an adults only night once a month. Each month is a different topic, but the one I went to seemed really fun. (I was part of an exhibit on therapy dogs as opposed to a participant.)

Oddly enough at Aspen landing, there's a water feature that looks quite nice with a good walking path which is great when there's a good sunset. Plus there's a lot of shops/restaurants in the area.

Go for dinner at Gorilla Whale, Nash or Without Papers in Inglewood, then head on over a couple blocks to the Blues Can for live music / dancing. Check out Cold Garden Brewery in Inglewood at some point, too. Any combination of the three, I've had lots of success with these as date venues.

There are also some good talks at the Rothney Observatory for science-minded folks.
I like cooking classes, they're fun to do as a couple. SAIT offers a few through the year, as does Sunterra.

"Where's your wife?"
- 'Oh! We're both supposed to escape? Where is the fun in that?'

The comedy cave can be fun, decent price for dinner and the show, the food was surprisingly good.

In summer my go to first date is a trip to the batting cages, or the driving range. In winter it is skating... I like to make my lack of athleticism obvious from the start.
I can second the idea of cooking classes though, have been to the SAIT offered ones and would recommend it.

Here's something dance-related, without having to do the dancing yourself:
>>BJM's Dance Me
Featuring the music of Leonard Cohen
Calgary Sep 20-22 | Edmonton Sep 28-29
In a beautiful merging of Canadian dance and musical talent, Les Ballets Jazz de Montréal honours one of Canada’s most influential literary and musical giants, the late singer-songwriter, Leonard Cohen. <<
